Notice to interested buyers:

1. This is a 55 year old car. It is deemed to be in good working order without any known mechanical issues, however because of the car's age, any prospective buyer is welcome to conduct their own inspection.

2. The title is free and clear.

3. The car looks good, runs good, and people often will break out their cell phones to photograph it.

4. If you want a completely original Classic Thunderbird such as the type purist collectors often seek, this one is not for you. This Thunderbird has mechanical modifications to improve performance. These cars were the top performing cars of their time (see the Car & Driver video) but like today's Corvette they were often modified to enhance performance. This is one of those modified ones, see the specifications above.

5. The Thunderbird was also among the first to offer interior power options: windows, doors, seats.

6. This car was previously a California and Oregon car and was purchased from an Oregon dealer who specializes in Classic Thunderbirds. Most modifications were already on the car when I purchased it.

7. All paperwork, records, receipts, and documents will be provided to the owner.

8. Cosmetic Notes: There is some chrome pitting and rust on the rear bumper. The hard top (seals and chrome) should be replaced to avoid scarring of the paint. The wheels have been painted and are not chrome. There is very minute evidence that the interior was at one time red.

9. There is an agreed value policy from State Farm in effect on this T-Bird in the amount of $65,000 indicating the value of the car according to State Farm. Click the link or the picture of the policy to see it.

Update 3/1/11

At the request of an interested buyer I have provided additional pictures of the Hardtop and the area behind the seats. Note, the hardtop has a landau type vilyl material on the top (vs a painted surface). I recommend that the hard top seal should be replaced to avoid scratching of the car's paint and provide a better seal. The soft top was purchased as an aftermarket part from CASCO and added when we purchased the car in 2001. It is not an original soft top. Like the pictures above, click to see them in High Res Mode.
